History

I was born in the Region of Magallanes by the Strait of Magellan.

I learned to work with silver in a self-taught manner in a pilgrimage of five years for several countries of Latin America, developing different styles since then.

In 1992, I returned to Punta Arenas where I set my workshop and devoted myself to the creative work and to give classes as silversmith, taking part in different local and international events.

From 1998 I developed the line "Jewels of Patagonia" created from the personal search, towards the idea of the ornament and its force to gather in it the creative possibility, the identity and the function of a jewel of silver.

Guided by the conviction of the need to rescue from the “dark room” of the regional history, figures, designs, mystical and daily elements of the native people of the Patagonia, I have designed and re-designed different elements, looking in them for a new style of jewellery that does not only fulfill a decorative function and the great variety of jewels that can be created, but also turn it into a way of rescue and a means of cultural diffusion.
