Spanish Version
Kai Ajnun or Painted Quillangos

The Kai Ajnun is a cloak or a Gump’s leather blanket that was worn by the aborigines of our Patagonia, with drawings on the lateral borders.

The cap was worn with the skin inward, this side being warmer and also to avoid adherence of thistles, thorns and other trifles.

The quantity of drawings belonging to the Kai Ajnun is incredible and more amazing yet, it is the variety of forms and representation of the elements. Every drawing used in the Kai Ajnun has a meaning.
